Final stages of the project\u00a0 was completed in 1979, at a total cost of E.P 516 million.[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner]<ul class=\"tt-toggle\">\r\n\t\t\t<li class=\"sub-toggle\">\r\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"toggle-head\">\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"toggle-head-sign\">&minus;<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Components<\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"toggle-content\">\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>2 blast furnaces<\/li>\n<li>Sintering unit<\/li>\n<li>Steel unit<\/li>\n<li>Iron rolling<\/li>\n<li>Foundry<\/li>\n<li>Lime and dolomite furnaces<\/li>\n<li>Dolomite refractory unit<\/li>\n<li>Iron scrap unit<\/li>\n<li>Labs, workshops and stores<\/li>\n<li>Gas services unit<\/li>\n<li>Oxygen unit<\/li>\n<li>Steam and compressed air unit<\/li>\n<li>Industrial water cooling towers<\/li>\n<li>Power station Extension of the complex: The aim is to increase the iron and steel production from 300000 ton\/year to 1.5 m. tons\/year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"tt-toggle\">\r\n\t\t\t<li class=\"sub-toggle\">\r\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"toggle-head\">\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"toggle-head-sign\">&minus;<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Coke Co. fourth battery<\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"toggle-content\">\r\n\t\t\t\tThe project was carried out in 1991 at a cost of EG.P 85 million to produce 560000 ton\/year of coke.\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"tt-toggle\">\r\n\t\t\t<li class=\"sub-toggle\">\r\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"toggle-head\">\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"toggle-head-sign\">&minus;<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Helwan refractory complexes<\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"toggle-content\">\r\n\t\t\t\tIMPA supervised the execution of the first stage of the project, at an area of 215000 m2. and a cost of EP 27 million. The project includes a river port at an area of 33000 m2.
