Kafr Eldawar Weaving Industry Zones
Within the framework of industrial zones and parks development policy, the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) seeks to provide a good atmosphere to attract investment opportunities in the industrial zones. Following policies adopted by the MTI:
- Establishment of new industrial zones
- Development of existing industrial zones
- Establishment of specialized industrial zones
The project: Located at Kafr Eldawar governorate, with a total area of 600000 m2. Utilities are completed for both the first and second stage on an area of 230000 m2. 90% of units were delivered to investors. Third stage is underway.
Objectives of the project:
- Establishment of a specialized industrial zone
- Development of spinning and weaving industry and readymade clothes.
- Utilization of existing industrial base available at the city of Kafr eldawar to localize such industrial sector.
- Utilization of unexploited lots of lands.
- Attracting new investment chances and creating work opportunities.
Expected project’ returns
- Attracting a minimum of LE 5 milliards investments including buildings and line production.
- Creating direct and indirect work opportunities for some 30000 workers.
- Promotion of quality and competitiveness level of products.
- Promotion of workers’ efficiency and technical level.
- Accessibility to world markets with products of high quality and competitiveness
- Increasing the value added for the benefit of national economy.
Current and future projects:
Allocation of lands for 30 new industrial projects on an area of 187000 m2 represent 48% of the first stage of project.
Total investments are more than LE 530 million providing more than 8750 work opportunities.
Further factories are required in the future, including infrastructure and internal and external roads.
